29th BCS Examination Final Result

Bangladesh Public service commission has published the final results of the 29th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination on Monday, with 1722 candidates qualifying for various government cadre jobs and another 3340 for non-cadre services.


The government recruiting body took one and a half years to give the results. In the meantime, the 30th BCS was held and the candidates are waiting their turn. A total of 7,217 candidates came out successful in the written examination for viva voce. Of them, some 5,062 candidates passed finally.


Of the total successful cadres, 186 are in BCS Administration, 2 in audit and accounts, 14 in Ansar, 68 in Customs, 6 in Cooperatives, 2 in Food, 14 in Foreign, 9 in Family Planning, 6 in Information, 3 in Postal, 35 in Police, 3 in Railway, 28 in taxation, 2 in Commerce and 37 in economic under general cadres.

31st BCS (BPSC) Bangladesh Civil Service Examination Notice-2011


The Bangladesh Public Service Commission published the advertisement for 31st Bangladesh Civil Service Examination '2011. Total Vacancy is 2108 and Application Form is available at selected branch of Sonali Bank between 31st January to 28th February '2011 in bank working days. Application form will submitted to the office of District Commissioner.


BCS Examination System
 
There are 3 Successive stages in the BCS examination-

      1. Preliminary Examination
      This examination is a screening test.
      2. Written Examination:

The Minimum average qualifying marks shall be 50%. A candidate securing   less than 25% marks in any subject shall be deemed to have secured no marks in that subject.

3. Viva Voce Examination:

Each successful candidate after the written examination shall be interviewed by a  board to be constituted by the commission in this behalf. The minimum qualifying marks for the viva is 40%.

 Final Merit Tabulation:

Final merit list is prepared on the basis of  written and viva marks of the  successful candidates.
 
Quota Distribution:
     
The Quota is distributed on the basis of final merit list, quota reserved for matching the choice of the candidates and the availability of the posts.
