The new Miss Universe Dominican Republic is Eva Arias, 23 and a professional model. She won the title last night in a glittering, gala ceremony held at the Hotel Jaragua in Santo Domingo. First runner-up was Alma Álvarez Alfonso; second runner-up was Stefany Liriano Alcántara; and third runner-up was Clara Brito Medina.
