Scholarships available for students in Bangladesh

Scholarships available for students in Bangladesh are as follows :–


» Primary Scholarship: This is available for those students of fifth class in school. Bangladesh government distributes the limited number of scholarships all over the country.

» Junior Scholarship: This is almost same as the first one, but available for those students who have completed the eighth class in school.

» Board Scholarship: The students who score the requisite marks in secondary and higher secondary examination get this scholarship from their respective Education BoardA uthority.

» Special Scholarship: The public Universities offer different types of scholarships for the meritorious students from their respective funds. ‘Kali Narayan Scholarship’ is one such scholarship available for the meritorious students of Dhaka University. [ In future we will provide more details regarding this type of scholarships.

» Other Scholarship: There are some organizations and some persons who provide scholarships for particular categories of students -

» Almost every district of Bangladesh offer scholarships from their yearly budget for the meritorious but poor students of the concerned district.
» The city corporations of Bangladesh also offer the scholarship namely “Mayor Padak” for the meritorious but poor students of the concerned city.
» Different municipalities offer scholarships for the meritorious but poor students of the concerned municipality.
» There are some clubs / institutions / organizations, who offer scholarships for the meritorious but poor students.
» The Alumni Associations of various colleges and universities also offer scholarships for the meritorious but poor students of the respective colleges and universities.
» Agrani Bank also offer scholarships named "Agrani Bank Gold Medal" for the meritorious students of colleges and universities.
